- What a Journey
While walking back toward where we had started, we were able to see this beautiful view that welcome the rest of our adventures that day. - The View is Great
A view of where we started and ended our walk. - The Beginning vs. The End
While this is the same area we came into the path, the view coming out was absolutely breathtaking. Mother Nature brought us a beautiful day to adventure and explore. - Stairway to Heaven
Although we had a lot of literal steps to walk up, this view made them so worthwhile and we were able to use the pain to find some beauty. - Rock Your Life
While we may have been surrounded by a lot of rock, we were able to find beauty in something that someone else may just quickly overlook. - Peace in the Wild
While there were many quickly moving falls, we found this one pond that shows us that even in the midst of craziness, there is always going to be a moment of peace if you stop and take a breath. - Look How Far We've Come
While we were a great ways up, we were able to look down and see everything we had just walked past but from a distance this time and it gave us a whole new view on perspective. - Light at the End of the Tunnel
When coming to the end of our walk, we were able to see where we started and take in the view that started at our backs. - Light at the End of the Tunnel
As we came to the end of our walk, we were able to see everything that started behind us and see the beauty that the day had brought us. - Ice Ice Baby
One of the few areas that we were able to reach out and feel how cold the water actually is when it comes down off the mountain. - Family Til The End
Always remember that family comes first. This was a headstone from a small family cemetery that was along our hike. - Family Is Everything
One of the larger headstones that was in the family cemetery that we passed. - Family Is Everything
Another headstone from the family cemetery that we passed. - Family Is Everything
Another headstone from the family cemetery that we passed. - Everything Happens For a Reason
When we got halfway through our walk, we found out that we had to turn around and take a different way back because of flood and wind damage. Much to my dismay, we did as we were told but I had to take a moment as I was definitely heartbroken. So I sat, I took a deep breath, and I smiled through the sadness. Then we continued on our way through an area I had never walked before and we realized that everything happens for a reason.
