- What a Journey
While walking back toward where we had started, we were able to see this beautiful view that welcome the rest of our adventures that day. - A Wee Bitty Swamp
While some may see this as a small mud pit, we couldn't help but appreciate the shadows that the leaves left and were able to see the beauty in what would otherwise be viewed as disgust. - Always Look in the Shadows
While many would pass over this little gem, we noticed a small stream that was hidden in the shadows of the leaves, trees, and rocks that surrounded us. - Everything Happens For a Reason
When we got halfway through our walk, we found out that we had to turn around and take a different way back because of flood and wind damage. Much to my dismay, we did as we were told but I had to take a moment as I was definitely heartbroken. So I sat, I took a deep breath, and I smiled through the sadness. Then we continued on our way through an area I had never walked before and we realized that everything happens for a reason. - Rock Your Life
While we may have been surrounded by a lot of rock, we were able to find beauty in something that someone else may just quickly overlook. - Ice Ice Baby
One of the few areas that we were able to reach out and feel how cold the water actually is when it comes down off the mountain. - Light at the End of the Tunnel
When coming to the end of our walk, we were able to see where we started and take in the view that started at our backs. - Don't Look Down
Although we were so far up on top of everything, we were able to look down and see all of the beauty that was down where we had just come from. - Peace in the Wild
While there were many quickly moving falls, we found this one pond that shows us that even in the midst of craziness, there is always going to be a moment of peace if you stop and take a breath. - A Relationship is a Structure
A view of several of the rock structures that we were able to see on the walk. - A Relationship is a Structure
While on our detour walk, we came across these little rock structures. We soon learned that these are a new tradition for couples to do. You build a structure out of rocks to show the strength of a relationship then scratch your names into the rock below your structure. - 033 04a
Another view of the family cemetery that we passed. - 034 03a
A view of the family cemetery that we passed. - Always Look to the Cross
No matter what, always remember to look to the cross for love, assurance, and peace. - Family Til The End
Always remember that family comes first. This was a headstone from a small family cemetery that was along our hike.
